Heartland Realty Investors, Inc., formerly known as Shelter Financial Corporation, was purchased by H. William Walter in 1976. Thereafter, Heartland has continued to invest in affordable and conventional properties while creating strong, long-term relationships with business partners, investors, and employees. Heartland has used its real estate expertise by maintaining the underlying fundamentals of an AMO (Accredited Management Organization) which is only awarded to organizations that meet IREM’s (Institute of Real Estate Management) strict criteria of professional education, business stability and financial standards. Heartland has proven to be a strong real estate investment company that takes pride in creating value in all its investments.
